Brown and Blue...and Pink!

I'm not the biggest fan of the brown and blue combo (although thechocolateblues.com is my most popular decor shopping blog), but this bedroom in the Traditional Home Built for Women Showhouse III designed by Scott Laslie is just so pretty. I love the block-print fabric for draperies and upholstered headboard, especially combined with the pink accents. And how about that chandelier? Wow.

Moises Esquenazi

I love this Los Angeles bungalow belonging to designer Moises Esquenazi. Such a fun mix of fabulous colors that leaves you feeling happy and rejuvenated. The outdoor space is to die for. I don't think it would be hard to entice friends over with a backyard like that! View more images and read all about the home at House Beautiful.

Maps and More Maps

As a big fan of maps (as well as budget-friendly ideas!), I love how this room was created with only $150 worth of inexpensive maps. This particular room was designed by David H. Mitchell for Southern Accents 2005. Check out this post on Brilliant Asylum for even more great rooms featuring maps and globes!

Peaceful, Easy Feeling

I was going through some of the bedrooms on pointclickhome and thought these were great. So calm and peaceful, but modern and stylish too. I absolutely love the fireplace in the first image. And isn't that high ceiling amazing?! LOVE.

Ione Skye

I am totally digging this bedroom belonging to actress Ione Skye. With the help of interior designer David Netto, a party room and art studio was transformed into this cozy and serene bedroom. I love all the details going into this bedroom, especially the fun hanging egg chair. Check out domino for even more photos of this great home!

Cheerful Living

Ok so I pretty much love everything in this image. That funky blue and white fabric on that ottoman/floor pillow glider (what are those called? we had one when I was little...but I want this one!), the colorful throw pillows, the old yellow fun, the turquoise candlestick...it all looks so perfect with that lovely shade of blue on the wall! I hope everyone enjoys their weekend! :) -MarthaStewart.com via Decorology

Tybee Shutters

I think if I were to have a porch on my home, I would have it look EXACTLY like this one by interior designer and preservationist Jane Coslick! I adore the pretty turquoise paint combined with the red and white accents. For more images of the colorful interior, go here!

Perfection.

I instantly fell in love when I finally flipped through my House Beautiful yesterday. I get a lot of energy out of bright colors, but I equally need to be surrounded by calm, serene colors like these. This home designed by Hal Williamson is altogether 100% GORGEOUS. Love love love. Metropolitan Home’s Showtime House

Being a huge fan of Showtime, I thought the Metropolitan Home’s Showtime House was a cool idea. A slew of amazing American designers transformed this NYC townhouse using six Showtime shows as inspiration. Jamie Drake used Californication as his inspiration for the study and the bathroom in these images, while Vicente Wolf’s master bedroom suite comes from the show L Word. The patio by Christopher Myers of Just Terraces and solarium by Lora Barbara Lemon draw inspiration again from Californication. Check out the rest of the rooms from the house here!

Summers Full of Green and Blue

Designer Marshall Watson designed this beautiful beach house with shades of grays, blues and greens....the color of the ocean and its mist. I love Watson's thought behind his love of green and blue (one of my favorites!): Some of my best memories are from the days my family took me to a summer house surrounded by green birch forests and large blue expanses of Lake Michigan. I could go sailing. I could go explore in the woods. The blue and green combination evokes that part of my childhood with its freedom and innocence. Blue and green is about spending a summers outside riding bicycles and going to the beach. But it also reflects the natural world of sea, sky, and earth immediately outside these rooms. It's a fresh, calm, clear feeling of water and plants. It breathes. What more could anyone want? For more images of this Southampton home, visit House Beautiful!
